The Lighter Side of Economic Development
Economics is sometimes called “the dismal science,” but there’s no need for it to be that way. In his comedy keynote, Islander Patrick Ledwell will share and ‘send up’ how economic development reflects the brightest hopes of our communities. Through actual clippings and interactive questions, he’ll unpack stories that show Canadians working to take care of business, from the biggest cities to the smallest villages (no shortage of those on P.E.I.) We’ll learn to talk like Islanders, and Ledwell will try to learn to talk like an economic developer. In between, the session will build a Confederation Bridge of very funny understanding.
