About the Speaker
Gregg Wassmansdorf is a Senior Managing Director in Newmark Knight Frank’s Global Corporate Services division, market leader for Global Corporate Services in Canada, and shares responsibility for sales, platform development, and client service delivery at NKF Global Strategy, the company’s corporate consulting practice.
As a corporate real estate outsourcing advisor, Mr. Wassmansdorf helps mid-sized and large corporations evaluate the best means to access and implement service solutions for their global facilities. He facilitates engagements for strategic consulting, CRE/FM technology and data management, account and transaction management, workplace strategies & implementation, facilities services, and project management.
In his management consulting capacity, he works with his corporate clients to address challenges in global portfolio strategy, business location strategy and site selection, supply chain planning, economic incentive negotiation and procurement, workplace strategy, property transaction execution, and capital project implementation. His experience spans the asset mix within most large companies: head offices, shared services & call centers, data centers, manufacturing plants, and distribution facilities.
Mr. Wassmansdorf is a trusted advisor to corporate clients in a wide variety of industries. He takes pride in his ability to help clients conceive and implement logical and defensible real estate solutions, reduce decision-risk, and proudly points to successful implementations and operating cost reductions on past projects. His clients have included both private and public companies with diverse global interests.
His corporate consulting experience is also used to support senior and lower levels of government with economic development strategy, investment attraction initiatives, and regional & community competitiveness assessments. He is regularly hired by investment promotion and economic development agencies for his expert opinions.
Gregg is a Canadian and U.S. citizen, a corporate real estate specialist, a LEED accredited professional in sustainability, a cross-border FDI business expert and regular columnist for fDi Magazine (a Financial Times publication), and is a member of the Site Selectors Guild, an association of the world’s top corporate site selection professionals, for which he is also a member of the Board of Directors.
Mr. Wassmansdorf graduated from Queen’s University with his B.A. (Honours) in Urban and Economic Geography. He then secured a national fellowship and relocated to Los Angeles to earn his Master’s degree in Geography from the University of Southern California (USC). He further pursued doctoral studies in urban geography, regional economics, industrial location theory and urban planning at USC, UCLA, and the University of British Columbia.
