About the Speaker
Marg Epp came to Cambridge Bay as the Regional Director of Business Development for the Kitikmeot Economic Development Commission (KEDC) in 2005. She has been part of the Kitikmeot Community Futures Inc since its inception in 2006 and has been the Executive Director since 2007.
Marg obtained her education at the University of Saskatchewan including a Bachelor of Commerce degree and numerous other certificates and credits in Sociology and Native Studies. She is a believer in life-long education and completed her CCP certification from the Credit Institute of Canada, a PCP from the Canadian Payroll Association and certification in Advanced Facilitation from Royal Roads University. She has an extensive background in administrative and business management in both the not-for-profit and private enterprise sectors. Marg serves as the current Chair for the Nunavut Business Credit Corporation, serving on the board since 2010.
During her time in Cambridge Bay, Marg has served on a number of local, Territorial and National Boards including a term on Hamlet Council, Nunavut Hockey and Hockey North, National Aboriginal Capital Credit Corp MIS committee, Community Futures Network of Canada Board.
